Charles F. Ledlum-Bates holds a Doctor of Philosophy (Ph. D.) degree in psychology, a Master of Science (MS) in Clinical Professional Pastoral Counseling, a Master of Divinity (M.Div.), and a Bachelor of Arts degree (BA). He is Certified Pastoral Counselors, a member of the Association for Clinical Pastoral Education (ACPE), formerly called the American Association of Pastoral Counselors (AAPC). He is a member of the American Counseling Association (ACA), a member of the American Psychological Association (APA), and an associate staff at the Virginia Institute of Pastoral Counseling (VIPCare), Richmond, VA. In this role and as a former refugee, he uses his experience and employs an interactive approach to providing psychotherapy to individuals, couples, and families. He also provides support and practical feedback to assist clients effectively address personal life challenges. As a United Methodist Elder, he serves as the Rappahannock River District Superintendent, overseeing 74 churches and two mission hubs. He is a family man, happily married to his spouse (Weade Vickie) of 29-years. He has three adult children and three grandchildren. His hobbies are reading and sports.
